Welcome to Online Applications
Metropolitan Development & Housing Agency

Applying for Public Housing assistance online is a free, quick, easy and secure way to submit a pre-application.

Please note: Applying for Low-income Public Housing is always free. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), who funds the program, does not allow any agency to charge a family to apply. Beware of websites that charge a fee to apply for the housing program. These websites are not affiliated with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) or the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The only way to apply for MDHA housing is through MDHA’s official website.

Public Housing Waiting List Pool Registration

In order to apply online, you will need to complete the New Applicant Registration section where you will create a user name and password and then complete the Contact Details section where you will provide your full name, address, social security number and a valid email address and phone number.

If you do not have an email address, one may be obtained by visiting one of several free email providers, including Gmail.com, Hotmail.com, and Yahoo.com. Once you have registered and provided your contact details, you will be able to begin completing your pre-application.

The online pre-application requires that three sections be completed – Basic Details, Preferences and Waiting List. Please make sure all required information is entered and check all applicable boxes. As you complete each section, click the Save and Next button at the bottom of the page to continue to the next page. If you need to go back to the previous page, you can do so by clicking the Previous button. If you are unable to complete your application, you can log out and return at a later time. Make sure you save the pre-application before logging-out. Your pre-application will not be complete until you have clicked the Submit Application button and receive a Confirmation Number. If you submit your application and do not receive a confirmation number, you must contact the MDHA Asset Management office via email at assetmanagement@Nashville-MDHA.org. MDHA will not address online application issues after the deadline to submit an application expires and the waiting list pools are closed.
